About Odessa

Hi I’m Odessa. I have been mothering for 10+ years now and I have 4 children. I am a Guardian of Birth, Traditional postpartum care provider and a MotherCircle facilitator. When I’m not busy tending to all my children I like to dance, cook and garden. I have been passionate about birth, postpartum and motherhood since I became a mother and I have been working in the birth world on and off for 8 years.

My life has led me to care for others since I was young. I've also always had an interest in “medicine” or “healing”. I remember once being told I was too “alternative” for nursing when I was thinking about applying to school. After spending my younger years going through life's wild journeys I was initiated into motherhood with the birth of my oldest son, which was a big awakening for me and what ushered me into this line of work.

I have experienced 4 very different births from medicated to freebirth turned sovereign birth. I have traversed the waters of postpartum in the modern world and I have devoted myself to raising happy, healthy and whole children, all while simultaneously educating myself about birth and postpartum by taking training’s (100’s of hours) and working with wise women.

I am here to educate women, to hold a mirror and reflect back to you, your true power and essence. I believe when mothers are well so will the world be. I want Mothers to feel supported. I want them to feel seen and cared for.
